Summer 2011 Part 1
So far this summer has been low-key and focused inward. We’re spending a lot of time recuperating from the Spring semester together, and it’s been great for us. It took a while for the real summer weather to show up, which is why the long sleeves and hats were still around in May.
Danny’s been fishing at least once a week, sometimes several. We even went on a “date” fishing a few weeks ago. Really. Isn’t this romantic?
We’re having a lot of fun.
We’ve been hanging out on the back porch…………………….
coloring……..
making frequent trips to the playground………..
watching television together…….
reading/gnawing on books……….
of course hanging out on the bed………………
and learning to sit up!
We were able to spend the 4th of July holiday with our dear friends, Brandon and Dana (and soon to be Baby Marz!). The guys fished and we played together. We always leave Michigan wishing that we could have their friendship closer. No one knows us like the Marzs! The following shots were taken by Dana:
Here’s to the greatest season of them all! (and no it’s not Christmas!)

Oh Shannon, this post was such a shot in the arm for me. I mean, I know it’s written for everyone but I get such a huge kick out of your posts. Seeing these beautiful children all happy and thriving, and hearing about your latest adventures, it’s fantastic. I have forwarded this to Grandad. Thankyou so much for another wonderful, fabulous story!
do you know that I check this almost everyday only to be disappointed with no Finer update? And NOW THERE IS!! Three cheers.
Thompson is SUCH a Carman baby. He is totally your twin. And in some of these shots he looks like Baby Baylor. T is so so so so stinkin cute. Makes me want to know what our second and third and fourth children will look like?! How many looks can you get using the same recipe each time? Hmmm…
I loooove Nef’s discovery/content/learning/satisfied face that she makes often and is particularly showcased in the fish-and-her photo. Adorable.
Danny! So good to see you!
aaaaand when is “part 2″?
