Yesterday we welcomed Grandpa Bob to Syracuse. It’s a real pleasure to open our home, gather over hearty meals, and to reconnect with the people who have influenced who we are. It also brings me joy to have our parents interact with Naftalie – although admittedly she was pretty leery of Bob while he was here!

I’ll take this opportunity to invite anyone to our home, anytime. I always feel a sense of connectedness when company leaves; it’s a feeling you can only get after giving a hug, being together, and sharing in a way we don’t do other than in person.

Shannon, I literally laughed out loud when I saw Naftalie’s grin in this picture! What a personality she is developing!

Not seeming too leery in this picture! She’s like “this is my grandpa, look!”
Can’t wait to see you guys. So, SO sad that Danny won’t be there:(
    Also Bob…not ugly.

This is adorable. I love that silly little smile too, and Bob looks so happy. That’s neat Shannon.
