Treasure Island of Mommy and Daddy’s Room

March 18, 2011

If you ever wonder what we’re doing, on any given day, we’re probably doing this.

We spend more time hanging out on our bed than anywhere else in the house. Awake and asleep. During the cold winters it’s the warmest place in the house, underneath those covers you can thaw out. It’s our only changing table. It’s where Naftalie can lay beside Thompson and poke him and scream in his ear, while he simply opens his eyes slightly wider and gives her a look of acceptance. The random items begin to appear on the bed at dawn, and for the rest of the day the bed becomes a shelving system for everything from dirty clothes to W2 forms.

And as soon as I hit “publish” – I’ll be in it too.

This might possibly be the best post EVER! Reading this makes me want to crawl up on The Bed and be part of the action. And what cute little people you have! I love it.

Great instant in your daily routine. I love the two kids’ looks as they are very individual. Looks like Thompson might have dark hair. Keep the pictures coming.

YESSS!!!! My husband and I feel that way about our bed. In the summer it’s the only room we can afford to air condition so we spend all our spare time there. Our son was born there. He sleeps with us there. In the mornings he climbs all over us and we wake up to his smiles. It’s the best.
